Anfield Gold Corp. recognizes that alcohol abuse and the trafficking or use of illegal drugs is a potentially dangerous problem for our workforce, subcontractors, and the communities that host the Coringa Gold Project. In order to ensure the health, safety, and productivity of our workforce, as well as the safety and well-being of community residents, use of alcohol, or the use or trafficking in illegal drugs by our employees, contractors, or suppliers in any company facility, workplace, or vehicle, or in any field operation under company control is expressly forbidden. Failure to comply with this policy may result in immediate termination of employment or cancellation of contracts; incidents may be referred to the appropriate legal authorities for criminal investigation and potential prosecution.
As a matter of policy, the Coringa Gold Project will also:
- Develop programs for the early identification and diagnosis of substance abuse, and support the treatment and rehabilitation of employees who voluntarily request therapeutic assistance to resolve problems of abuse or dependence on alcohol, illegal drugs, or tobacco products;
- Promote healthy lifestyles on the part of our workforce that minimize the potential for substance abuse, through educational programs and the development of appropriate recreational opportunities; and
- Restrict the smoking of tobacco products to designated areas, in order to ensure a healthy work environment for non-smokers and to minimize the potential for fire.
Compliance with this policy is a mandatory condition for both contracting and employment with the Coringa Gold Project.
